Habitat & Site Selection:

Belah-Rosewood and Mallee woodland on sandy calcareous red earth. Very well-drained, light to medium soils. Partial or full sun, and in low rainfall situations. Drought resistant. Frost and lime tolerant. 

Habit:

Erect to spreading shrub, mostly 1-4m high. Tangled, prickly, often dome-shaped. Pods twisted or coiled 1 or more times. Has golden-yellow flowers (Jul – Oct).

Nov to Dec.

Propagation:

From seed or cuttings. Seed should be scarified or heat treated prior to sowing.
