Habitat & Site Selection:

Scattered on heavy clay soils prone to inundation. Grows best in partial or full sun, but tolerates dappled shade. Will adapt to relatively well-drained soils.

Habit:

Tufted, stoloniferous, perennial daisy to 30cm high. Leaves in a basal cluster, narrow, entire, 4-20cm long, 1-8mm wide. Flowers on unbranched stems, 10-15mm in diameter, white sometimes flushed pink beneath, (Sep-Mar).

Seed Collection:

Nov to Mar. From seed or cuttings. Extensive flowering period. Useful for soil erosion control, also good as a groundcover or in containers. Not popular because of prickly burrs. Can form dense stands because of stoloniferous habit.
