Habitat & Site Selection:

Variable, in low lying or damp areas and usually on clay soils. 

Habit:

Perennial forb to 40cm high. Leaves are lanceolate and the same length as stalks. Leaves with flower cluster linear and longer (flowers Sep-Mar). Fruit triangular in outline.

Seed Collection & Propagation:

When seed turns red-brown and comes away from the plant easily. Propagates readily from seed.

Values & Uses:

Useful groundcover.
