Habit:

Erect to spreading perennial shrub to 60cm high. Branches white-woolly and leaves linear. Fruit woody 7-8mm diameter with spines 10-15mm long (Year Round).

Variable vegetation communities on river flats and alluvial plains.

All year.

Values & Uses:

Useful in colonising bare scalded areas. Sheep will eat leaves when other fodder is low. In higher rainfall areas can be weedy. In low rainfall areas indicates pasture degeneration.
