Black/Pearl Bluebush, Black Box, Saltbush and grassland communities. Does well in areas overgrazed or trampled by stock. Responds well to flooding.

Habit:

Rounded hairless perennial to 50cm high. Branches are tangled and often red. Fruit has five downward pointing spines (Year Round).
