Habit:
Perennial herb up to 50cm high. Has erect or spreading stems. Leaves are 5-15cm long, pinnate with 15-25 linear leaflets. Conspicuous pea flowers are mauve, purplish or pink, with yellow colour on the keel tips (Aug-Nov).
Habitat & Site Selection:
Heavy, seasonally inundated soils, in grasslands and grassy woodlands.
Seed Collection & Propogation:
Nov to Jan. Pods become dry when mature. Propagate from scarified seed. Pour hot water over seeds and soak until water cools. Dry to prevent rotting and sow. Germination takes 3-4 weeks.

Attractive plant for native grassland or grassy woodland plantings.
