Habit:

Spreading or erect, wiry stemmed herb to 70cm high. Basal leaves linear and wither early and stem leaves smaller. Yellow star flowers are in clusters of 2-10 (Sep-Feb).

Habitat & Site Selection:

Various vegetation communities and soil types. 

Seed Collection & Propogation:

January to February. Monitor closely as seeds shed in 3-14 days. Fruits remain green when seeds are mature. Propogate from seed or by division. Although seed appears to have high viability, this species is difficult to germinate. Smoke treatment may produce improved results.

Values & Uses:

Attractive and long flowering. Looks best in mass plantings.
