Habit:
Woody, annual or perennial herb, 10-40cm high. Stems and young leaves covered with dense white, cottony hairs. Mauve flowers throughout the year, but mostly Oct-Mar.
Habitat & Site Selection:
Loamier soils of the plains. Well drained soils.
Seed Collection & Propogation:
Late Nov to Jan. Monitor closely as seeds shed in 3-14 days. From seed. Germination usually occurs in 1-3 weeks. Germination may be improved by soaking or leaching seed for 10 days.
Values & Uses:
Not particularly palatable, but eaten by stock when alternative feed is scarce.
