Habitat & Site Selection:

Mainly mallee communities on sandy soil. Adaptable. Grows in well-drained light to heavy soils, in dappled shade, partial or full sun. Tolerates frost, drought, alkaline and somewhat saline areas.

Habit:

Small dense spreading shrub to 1m high. Has glossy phyllodes and curved and twisted pods. Has golden-yellow flowers from Aug-Nov.

Propagation:

From seed or cuttings.

Useful for roadside plantings and erosion control. Legume, improves soil fertility by fixing nitrogen.
