Habitat & Site Selection:
Grasslands and open woodlands, on loamy and clay soils. Well drained soils in full or partial sun.
Habit:
Erect, perennial daisy 15-60cm high. Branches are hairy, with narrow, hairy leaves 1-11cm long, opposite or alternate, and somewhat appressed to the stems. Terminal inflorescence, globose to ovoid, to 1.5cm long, bright yellow, (Sep-Mar).
Seed Collection:
Jan to Feb. Monitor closely as seeds shed in 3-14 days. Surface sow seed or give a light cover of soil. Good results can be expected in 3-7 weeks. Also from cuttings or division. Frost tolerant and can endure extended dry periods. Attractive ornamental and potentially a container plant. Should adapt to a variety of a well drained soils.
