Name Origin:

Grevillea — after Charles Francis Greville (1749-1809), co- founder of London Horticultural Society.

ramosissima — from Latin ramosissimus, very branched, referring to habit.

Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll woodland, on various acidic substrates, including granite and sandy soils.

Habit:

Low spreading shrub 30 cm to 3 m high. Leaves 3-10 cm long with turned down margins.

Site Preference:

Semi or dappled shade. Tolerates moderate frost and snow.

Characteristics:

Hybridises with Rosemary Grevillea (G. rosmarinifolia) and Green Grevillea (G. jephcottii).

Flowering:

Creamy white, mainly spring.

Propagation:

From seed or cuttings, which generally strike slowly.

Good habitat.

Ornamental:

Attractive when flowering, suitable for screening and general planting. Not outstanding. Light to moderate pruning promotes bushiness. Easily cultivated.
