Variable and common in Bladder Saltbush communities on clay soils.

Habit:

Short, ascending, hairy and short-lived perennial. Is twice as wide as high and has crowded linear leaves. Fruit has a regular 5-angled wing at the top (Sep-Dec).

Seed Collection & Propagation:

Propogate from seed.

Values & Uses:

Useful as a coloniser of bare scalds and clay pans. Plants woolly habit traps seed and soil and helps with soil erosion.
